The center stone of your ring is what immediately draws peoples attention and is a great place to show off some personality Although you cant go wrong with the awe of a classic diamond, don’t think you are limited to one type stone! There are so many options to choose from, any stone from a diamond to a pearl to a ruby could be a perfect fit for you! One important factor to consider when picking a stone is where it falls on the Mohs scale for hardness. For example, a diamond is the hardest stone making it a great center stone as it is very resistant to cracking. Whereas a emerald for example is a rather soft stone and can crack easily. If you live an extremely active life style and plan on wearing your ring 24/7 the hardness of the stone should be taken into account. If you plan on wearing a silicone band or just your wedding band on more active days, having a softer stone would not necessarily be a problem. One stone that i would love to shout out specifically is a Moisssantie. These have gained major popularity over the last few years and they deserve it! They are more ethically sound and financially savvy than a diamond by a long shot. They are gorgeous and make a wonderful diamond substitute! Which would you choose?
