🎪The Biggest Beard I've Ever Styled!🎪 !!!BEFORE AND AFTER TLC SERVICE!!! Scroll for before images, this was a truly magical transformation that needs to be seen to be believed. This beard was not knotted or constructed by me and was sent by a client for a full TLC service. The beard lace was covered in an adhesive the client couldn't remove, the glue was also all over the synthetic hair which then made restyling themselves very difficult. The synthetic hair was but a bush, but baby we made that bush bloom! This is by far the biggest beard I've worked on as the client needed it to be large and in charge for a particular cosplay. I had an amazing week’s work experience with @thebeardmakersllp and wanted to share a little of what I got up to! I was able to learn so much in the time I was there and feel really grateful to have been able to spend the week with such amazing talents who were so welcoming and generous with their time and knowledge. Over the week I made and dressed a moustache with yak on film lace, my first ever pair of eyebrows made and dressed with human and Mohair on film lace, as well my first ever chin beard with yak on film lace. The eyebrows were a fun challenge! I was also able to practice facial wrapping and get a better understanding of different types of hair and dressing postiche. Also, to not mess with a hackle!! Let them eat cake 🍰 Yes, I know she never really said that, but we’re running with it anyway for the plot. My final major project for uni was to create a drag look to fit a theatre production set in the Rococo era, and who better to base the character on than Marie Antoinette. 👑 This whole project has been blood, sweat and tears for 15 weeks, as I custom made this wig and moustache from scratch (even the wig foundation!), styled them both for HOURS, put together this costume (with some help from my lovely mum with the skirt because I’m awful at sewing 😂), and made little wig embellishments, like Rupert the rat 🐀 and a feather, out of hair too.
