Finally! Nearly TWO YEARS after my big chop, I started to truly understand my hair need WATER! My hair actually began to APPEAR shorter because is was truly retaining moisture (water). My hair becoming hydrated meant, better elasticity, aka SHRINKAGE. At this point I started to see my true curl. If you look at my hair from the day of my big chop (Next picture, Dec 2014), my curls were hardly there because my hair was dehydrated and untrained. One of the most rewarding moments for me is when I’m able to give the tools to my clients, in order for them to gain access to a world they never thought could exist for them. This is my 27 year old client. She has experience a significant amount of hair loss in her crown. I was happy to point her in the direction of a dermatologist, and give her different styling techniques to camouflage her “problem area”.
