Smelling clean with Lux & La Divine The floral musk of 'Pouvoir des fleurs' draws upon previous, more simple compositions of the fresh floral/musk genre, where the idea is to smell clean. Whilst usually applied to functional fragrance & bath/shower products, why not extend it to perfume; after all who doesn't love to smell like they have just come out of the shower? Both created in May of 2016, 'La Divine' was originally made for fragrant cleanliness loving friend @filipeandreia, who also had a fondness for precious stones & crystals, (the perfume bottle lid being a piece of quartz, in turn inspiring the perfume's 'galactic' backdrop), so the idea was to smell of something crystaline & new, bringing together a collection of notes to do so in the form of aldehydes, muguet, incense & musks. For 'Lux', one wanted to create an easy to wear, an everyday feminine along the lines of Tommy Girl (especially it's wonderful drydown) & blends green tea & white flowers with musk & vanilla, perenially popular & being a favourite of make up artist @erion_mua & the first perfume painter @merexsarts purchased when we met. If you ask me which was my #signaturescent for this spring, look no further. 🪻 A drop d'issey by @isseymiyakeparfums is a warm and clean lilac with a nutty yet still bright undertone. It is super versatile and easy to wear. 🪻Lilac lait corporel by @korres : I repurchase this every spring, to be honest, along with the shower gel. I love the texture and the fact that it intensifies the lilac note when I use it under any lilac fragrance, adding some greenness. I know that since it's starting to get warmer and warmer in Greece, I'll soon be ditching my beloved florals for fruitier, more herbal or tropical fragrances, but this has a soapy feel to it, so maybe I won't be ditching this one 🤍 Please let me know, which is your favorite summertime floral fragrance?
