When our kids were young, nearly every evening after dinner, our front yard looked like this. Soccer balls, baseballs, screaming kids, running kids. Laughter, fighting, complaining, competing. As the years marched on and driver’s licenses obtained, friends more prominent, sports more prevalent, this scene out front became less frequent—as it should. But for a moment last night, it was just like it used to be. Kids laughing, kids fighting, competition flowing. Was it perfect? No. But it was glorious.

When I first created this company, I was commissioned to create portraits for a family with two littles. We ended up hanging a gallery wall in the living room, 3 canvas prints in the baby’s room, and 3 more in the big sister’s room. About 6 months later, I returned to their home. Big sis forgot who I was. When I entered the home, she grabbed me by the hand and dragged me to her room and her brother’s. “Look!!! That’s me!! Come see my brothers!” I don’t know who loved seeing their portraits on their wall more, Mom and Dad or their 3 year old daughter.
