Sundayzz vs. mondays 🌝 I always try to get to bed early on a Sunday so I can start my Mondays being one step ahead of everyone else (eg. the electrician needs a different cable, the workers have a question, the Gardner’s missing a specific screw for the lawn mower, there’a a problem with the power/with the water, we’re missing a material, I have a meeting etc. etc). SO if I get up at 5am on a Monday, I have a naive idea that my day will be a bit easier. We’ve had quite a few people message us recently to see how the rest of the building work is coming along since the restaurant re-opened. I’ll be completely honest, upstairs looks like this right now.🙈 It’s still very much a building site up there but next week carpets are arriving and a lot of the decorating will be finished which will make SUCH a difference. Then it will be all systems go as the furniture gets delivered and our fabulous house keeping team can go wild on the cleaning. This week Room Five is having everything ploughed into it to get it ready for the 30th. It’s going to be tiiiight in terms of timing but I’m so excited to show you. There’s a new sea facing window being put in which is going to make it really special 💗 P.s. even though it’s totally upside down upstairs, I still love how these beautiful door frames look throughout the hallway 😍...just ignore the dust and hanging wires!!😂

Thank you to our wonderful contractors @gallowaybrosconstruction for showing up almost exactly a year later to give this wall some extra special tlc and the finishing touches. Turns out building a huge cement wall in one of the wettest places in the world can have its challenges and over the last year this baby has been quietly sucking up all that good west coast moisture. Now safely clad and wrapped up tight to keep it nice and dry, the wall’s looking beautiful and is no longer an eyesore for our neighbours.
