Long Post Alert!!! Dream Come True!! In 2019, I decided I would get me a food truck and the name will be Carolina Avenue! I graduate culinary school in North Miami and move back to Richmond, VA. January 2020, I established Carolina Avenue, LLC., phone number and business cards. Pandemic stopped everything. Then in 2021, I tried to get a loan for a truck but was denied. Every truck I would find after that never worked out…too small, too large, piece of junk or was just sold to someone else. Winter 2021, I decided to get a stand at RVA Big Market selling our Cake Donut Holes to get our name out there and it was a successful move. We started selling May 2022 but I went through some hoops to get started…sheesh!!! May 2023 I decided to go a different route and got with Elhaj Customs Inc. Manassas, VA and started the process of getting a truck. August 11, 2023, I officially became the owner of a food truck. Hopefully, in the next couple weeks, gotta get inspected, permits, and licenses, I will be the owner of a “WORKING” food truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 When I tell you, I wanted to give up so many times. I’ve seen people RAVE about birria tacos and the birria juice (consome), so I decided to grab some from @chileylimonindy — definitely was 10/10! I got the quesobirria tacos and they must’ve melted in my mouth. Very well seasoned and great consome. I’m a lover of anything with alot of spices and flavor. I’ve had some consome that was bland at other restaraunts, but Chile y Limon definitely got it down packed. They also have other menu options there like mangonadas, churros, and more.
