I went in search of some Bluebells yesterday. I went to Palmers Wood near Old Warden which I hadn't visited before. The Bluebells were quite sparse but the whole area was teeming with wildlife which was a pleasure to see. Stormy Skies Not quite the shot I was looking for. I was out checking a shooting location on Saturday and came across this view of the Great Ouse West of Oakley. I just had a camera with me and as I didn't intend to be far from the car not even a coat! As always I wandered a little further than anticipated and could see this scene from a distance with the intermittent sun casting some lovely light on the north bank. There was a biting wind and my figures were numb. I waited for the light and just as I was about to take the shot the wind ripped my peaked hat from my head and blew it into some reeds on the edge of the river. I did manage to retrieve my hat but by this time the really good light had gone and it began to hail!
