I can’t very well do a throwback to Colombia, in May, without talking about emeralds! Pictured here is a Colombian emerald ring I picked up from local jeweler @lucyjewelry ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I fell in love with the gorgeous deep green of this stone. I also wanted a protective bezel setting since emeralds are prone to chips. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I found the staff at Lucy to be very knowledgeable, trustworthy and patient. It’s not an easy task to find an emerald set without a diamond halo. (Another post for another time!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I had a poor experience at a store I visited prior to Lucy. I had my loupe on me and after carefully selecting a ring and negotiating price they switched rings on me after taking the one I selected in back to “clean” it. So do your research and go to a reputable seller.
