Participants are allowed to hit each other from the waist to the head area. It ends when one of the participants is no longer able to counter attack the other player's attack. #GebugEnde tradition started from a war between Karangasem and Selaparang Kingdom which ended with the victory of Karangasem troops thanks to the heavy rain. There was a man named I Gede Mecaling who was infamous for causing trouble in Batuan Village, so I Dewa Babi was sent to expel I Gede Mecaling from the village. Long story short, I Dewa Babi defeated I Gede Mecaling and expelled him from the village โ๏ธ But I Gede Mecaling felt vengeful and threatened to come back every fifth month according to Balinese calender to make trouble. The villagers' anxiety due to this threat became the forerunner to Rejang Sutri. The female villagers dedicated a dance with smooth and gentle movements to Sang Hyang Dedari, so all women who dance Rejang Sutri look like angels in I Gede Mecaling's eyes. The villagers believe that this dance fascinated I Gede Mecaling so that he ended up giving up his intention to harm to village.
