While they were friends at first, it didn't take long for Shelby & Ryan to realize there was something special there. When I asked, Ryan said he liked how fun and smart Shelby is. NEW SNEAK PEEK! Morgan & Carter first met through family. The two went on their first date not long after Christmas. They drove around, looking at all the beautiful Christmas lights together and then headed over to get ice cream. Needless to say, their connection was there from the start. 🥰 This past Fall Carter knew he wanted to propose. The question was how... On November 8th, Carter took Morgan to a bulls game. They were actually running a little bit late to the game, but Carter had a plan. 😎 Just before they got to the doors, he pulled back on Morgan's hand. This was such a fun engagement session to go through!!! RWP Associate, Cassie, truly knocked it out of the park and I just love all the fun spots she was able to take Kimberly & Joe. 🥰 Speaking of... This sweet couple, Kimberly & Joe, met just a few years ago when they matched online. As Joe put it, he, "Swooned her with all my Chicago Bears pics." The best part? They actually just lived 5 minutes from each other! The two hit it off and have been together since. 🙌 This past July, Joe knew he wanted to propose. As he and Kimberly walked to dinner, downtown Chicago, they walked past Fourth Presbyterian Church, the church where Kimberly's grandparents first met! Joe pulled Kimberly aside into the courtyard and proposed. 🤩 Joe even made sure to have Kimberly's sister there to snap a few photos of the proposal! After that he surprised Kimberly by taking her out to dinner on the 95th floor of the John Hancock. Getting to go through and edit these shots from RWP Associate Photographer, Cassie this week has been so much fun! 🤩 The stunning light, the beautiful locations. These images are beautiful and most importantly, they capture the love that Julie & Jesse share. 🥰 A love that started when these two were just in high school! While these two met Freshman year and were friends throughout all of high school, they didn't go on their first date till September of their Senior year. While they liked each other a lot, they didn't go on a second date till March! Something Julie still gives Jesse a hard time about. 😉 The two went to Senior Prom together not long after and have been together ever since. 🙃 This past May, Jesse knew he wanted to propose to Julie. The two headed out for a walk at Knoch Knolls park in Naperville. As they walked together, they reached a fallen log. Jesse asked Julie if she remembered the last time they were there together. That's when it happened... Julie got a rock in her shoe! Jesse bent down to help Julie, but instead of standing up after, he stayed down on one knee and pulled on an engagement ring. Maggie & Carlos first met online when the two were both going to school in Indy. While they matched right away, Maggie made Carlos wait a MONTH till going on a first date with him! Worth the wait. 😉 The two went on their first date to Dave & Busters barley parting ways over the next five days. In February of 2017, they were officially dating. 😃 In February of 2023, Carlos planned a fun getaway to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The two enjoyed their first couple of days together. On the third day, Carlos asked Maggie if she would head to the beach with him. He wanted to get a few photos of them together. They grabbed their tripod and headed out. When they got there, the couple, "ran into" a couple of photographers who offered to take a few photos of them. Just a few minutes in, Carlos totally surprised Maggie by dropping down to one knee. 🥰 Maggie & Carlos, THANK YOU so much for having me as your engagement & wedding photographer. NEW ASSOCIATE SNEAK PEEK! Beth & Timothy first met through mutual friends when Beth moved to the Chicago area. 😃 For their first date, Timothy took Beth to an Eagles concert. While there were a few hiccups in the original plan, making the date even more memorable, the two made it to the concert and have been together since. This past August 2022 the two officially got engaged on their trip to the Dominican Republic. 🤩 Timothy scheduled dinner on the beach at sunset and even found a photographer to get a few photos of the couple, the perfect cover for the proposal! As the photographer snagged a few shots of just Beth, she realized she could see rain starting to come in! She turned around to tell Timothy, and he was down on one knee. 🥰 Beth said, “Yes!” and the two headed to dinner to celebrate as it started to rain. While it wasn't the warm Spring engagement session we planned... I think it was even BETTER!!! 🤩 Loren & Spencer first met in 2020 through a dating site. The crazy thing is that they never should have met! It was only because of 2020 that Loren's clinical was canceled and she ended up in Little Rock where the two eventually met and immediately hit it off. 🥰 Last Easter, Spencer knew he wanted to propose and he knew he wanted it to be around family... Spencer reached out to Loren's boss and secretly requested Good Friday off for her, knowing she would be able to drive home because of it. When Loren hopped on a flight, Spencer grabbed their pup and hopped into the car so he could surprise Loren in the backyard of her parent's home that evening and propose. 😃 Needless to say, Loren was shocked! The proposal when she least expected it surrounded by family AND Spencer's family surprised her by flying in too! Oh Hey! If you're new around here, I'm Rachael and if you're newly engaged, you're in the right place! 😃 I first started photographing weddings in 2013 and almost 10 years later, I've photographed over 280 weddings and I can't wait to hit number 300... currently scheduled for August 10, 2024, ( @jennaebeling ) but who knows... maybe I'll sneak another in before then. 🙃 When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm line dancing, doing something active with friends like walking or yoga! You can also find me puddling around in the gym, trying new recipes, nose deep in a good audio book, learning about the Enneagram or learning from other small business owners. 🤓 My favorite thing to do though is spend time with my husband Blake. 🥰 We've been married for 10 years now and I truly don't know how I got so lucky. This man is my biggest supporter. He keeps me grounded, makes me laugh, (Is handsome!) and loves goes on adventures with me. 🥰 One of our biggest adventures yet is actually coming up this Winter! While we're still nailing down the details, we'll be DRIVING 4000 miles together in my Jeep out to California and back to see everything we can. If you have recommendations... NEW SNEAK PEEK is LIVE! 🤩 Meghan & David first met as Freshman in college at University of Illinois in Champaign in 2011 when they ended up in the same Business 101 class. After being assigned to the same group project, the two became friends who saw each other from time to time in different classes. However, it wasn't till the Spring of 2020 that the two reconnected in Chicago. As it turns out, they actually lived just three buildings down from each other! As the world shut down, the two kept talking to each other and officially went on their first date 3-4 months later. Without many options, they settled for a parking lot date at Chick-fil-A. Uniquely 2020 and perfect for this sweet couple. This past May, as their busy season at work, came to an end, the two headed downtown for a fun dinner date. NEW SNEAK PEEK went LIVE earlier today! 🥳 Corinne & Bren met right after Bren finished boot camp. The two met online and immediately after connecting knew they wanted to meet up in person. They met at the train station, then headed out to dinner at Grille 43. The two have been together ever since and even added a couple of sweet pups to their family, Bentley and Chico. 😃 This past Summer, Alex knew he wanted to ask Amy to marry him. Not long after the two started dating. 🥰 This past April, Jason knew he wanted to ask Kara to marry him, they had been talking about it and now he just had to come up with the perfect plan... Not long after, Kara's friend from law school reached out to see if they could get dinner while she was in town. The two made plans and Kara started to get ready for dinner. Unfortunately, wink- wink, Kara's friend had to cancelled last minute. Already dressed up, Jason took it as his opportunity to take her out to dinner. While they were just friends then, the two reconnected a year later and have been together ever since. 🥰 The two eventually moved in together and, as new home owners, started some home renovations. When all the renovations were eventually done, Tim suggested that they invite all their friends and family over to celebrate together. Jane thought it was a fun idea, so the two set it up.
