As we count down to our 2nd anniversary on the 6th of May, we decided to take a look at the progression of our product photos. 🤳 The first one was taken on an iPhone. As a small business owner, one of the most important qualities you must possess is the ability to improvise and make something out of nothing. It was our first collection, we had a timeline to work with and we had to get pictures so we did 😁. We used a lot of natural lighting, wooden furniture, and props. 🤩 Second batch of photos were taken on an entry-level DSLR which I’ve had for years. I put on my creativity skill with just a ring light and a small LED light and went to work. Edited on Lightroom. After several hours of shooting, here’s the outcome. Was going for a more minimal look to focus more on the product. No props. 🤩 Third batch of photos was taken by a very lovely friend of mine who had a professional camera. We started shooting sometime in the afternoon and finished in the night around 7pm when we had lost all our lighting. I was going for a more creative shoot with a touch of a humanly element for an edge. So we did a lot of close range shoots to capture the textures. We executed as much as we could and I loved outcome. 🙌🏾 What’s your 🫵🏽favourite?
