Un paio di curiosità sul film: - A fornire il modello per Malefica fu proprio la sua doppiatrice originale, Eleanor Audley. - Inizialmente, Walt Disney suggerì agli animatori Frank Thomas e Ollie Johnston che Flora, Fauna e Serena dovessero somigliarsi, sulla falsariga di Qui, Quo e Qua. Ma i due non furono d'accordo, preferendo invece che ognuna avesse la propria distinta personalità. - Una delle scene eliminate dal film prevedeva che Aurora, attirata in una delle stanze di una torre da una misteriosa voce, si trovasse a tu per tu con una vecchia signora, che la spingeva a toccare la punta del fuso con un dito, asserendo che quell'arcolaio fosse magico e potesse così realizzare desideri.
