Εργαστήριο στη Ρωσία πειραματίζεται με τη δημιουργία υπερ-ρεαλιστικού συνθετικού δέρματος για ανδροειδή ρομπότ. Το εργαστήριο βρίσκεται στην πόλη του Βλαδιβοστόκ και ανήκει στην εταιρεία Promobot που αναπτύσει hardware και software για ανδροειδή ρομπότ. Ιδρύθηκε το 2015 και σήμερα είναι ο μεγαλύτερος κατασκευαστής αυτόνομων ρομπότ στη Ρωσία. Τα ανδροειδή ρομπότ, όπως η Sophia, της εταιρείας Hanson Robotics με έδρα το Χονκ Κονγκ είναι μοναδικά επειδή είναι τόσο ανθρώπινα, σχολιάζει η Alexandra Chegodaeva, βοηθός επικεφαλής του τμήματος έρευνας και ανάπτυξης της Promobot.
