FEEDBACK SESSIONS! So often these days artist and songwriters have to wear many hats in their project due to budget restraints. In this case it is very hard to keep perspective, or to not feel that some aspect of the production that you are not as skilled at may let you down (ie. mixing, production feedback, arrangement, project management and workflow etc) For the past 25 years I have been working with independent artists as a producer, engineer & mixer, as well as offering overall guidance on their path as they prepare to self release. I have seen how hard it is to do it all yourself when you cannot afford to hire people to take care of each aspect & role, or at least share some of the load. Letzten Mittwoch fand unser externer Goldmaster statt. Bei diesem hatten unsere Schüler die Möglichkeit, ihre Projekte einer ausgewählten Jury vorzustellen. Nach 4 Jahren haben wir dieses Event zum ersten Mal wieder in Person erlebbar gemacht, dabei jedoch auch die Schüler und Jurymitglieder von weit her nicht ausgeschlossen. Dafür haben wir ein hybrides Setup hergestellt, das alle Teilnehmer, ob online oder vor Ort, integriert hat. Vielen Dank an die Jurymitglieder, dass sie sich die Zeit genommen haben, die zukünftigen Spielentwickler zu feedbacken und zu unterstützen. Ein besonderer Dank geht an: Melvin Frank, Ruth Lemmen, David Salz, Heiko Ihde und Floris Pfeifer, die vor Ort als Jury vertreten waren. Nicht zu vergessen sind Markus Melching, Malte Große und Stephan Beier, die online ihr Feedback geäußert haben. Dank auch an die Moderation von Sebastian Gsänger und Felix Günther. Es war schön zu sehen, dass einige Schüler ihre Eltern und Freunde eingeladen haben, um stolz ihre Projekte zu präsentieren. Auch Gäste aus der Industrie durften wir begrüßen, von ehemaligen Alumni bis hin zu Dozenten oder unseren Freunden von @yager_development war alles dabei. Auch die lieben @audiocreatures waren dabei und haben sogar einige Projekte mit ihrer Musik unterstützt. Vielen Dank an alle, die so zahlreich erschienen sind; ohne euch wäre das Event nur halb so schön gewesen. Herzlichen Dank auch an die Jungs der @alte_kantine für das Bereitstellen der Location und an @lcpower.germany für die unterstützende Hardware. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf das nächste Semester!
