Despite the torrential rain that closed the fair for a bit, we came back stronger than ever and had an absolute blast dancing to Kiss and making our way around the entire fairgrounds. It was so wonderful to run into our vendor friends who we haven’t seen in a while - it truly feels like a big family reunion on the road. Here we go again! It's finally tour time again. The Coasterfriends Chill+Thrill Tour has begun. Despite the fact that we had to check in our hand luggage, the flight was quite relaxed. As soon as we landed in Miami, however, we were greeted by a tornado warning due to a severe thunderstorm. Even after a calm night, it started to rain again for hours, so we had to cancel our trip to the Everglades. To make up for this, we went to the mall right next to the hotel to pass the time. Around midday it finally stopped raining and Florida finally lived up to its name "Sunshine State". And so we made our way to the Miami Dade County Fair. We were able to ride seven of the nine rollercoasters here (the other two were only for children) and a few other rides. Afterwards, we went for dinner at the ever-popular P.F. Chang's and then went for a little sightseeing tour of the city. Tomorrow the tour really starts, with boarding on the Oasis of the sea and the route to the Caribbean.
