Representatives of our Child Affairs Division visited Pennywise Plaza, Chaguanas yesterday (Thursday 14th March, 2024) to facilitate an ongoing sensitisation and data collection project undertaken by the Gender and Child Affairs Division entitled “We Share, We Learn, We Grow”; to highlight the importance of child rights and protection. The intent of this initiative is to foster awareness and to assess the public’s response to issues related to children and their well-being. Members of the public can look forward to meeting our team at various locations across the country in the upcoming weeks and are welcomed to engage with our representatives, identified by their “Be a Hero!” t-shirts. Representatives of our Child Affairs Division were on the ground again yesterday (Wednesday 6th March, 2024) for our ongoing public sensitisation initiative which aims to sensitise the public on child protection and child rights. While yesterday's pop up at Five Rivers Junction, Arouca has concluded, our team can be found in Siparia today (Thursday 7th March 2024) and at Price Plaza Chaguanas tomorrow (Friday 8th March, 2024). Members of the public are invited to engage with our representatives, who can be identified by their “Be a Hero!” t-shirts, and participate in our data collection drive which will support the ongoing development and advancement of child-related policies and programmes. Today (Friday 1st March, 2024), the Child Affairs Division embarked on their monthly sensitisation and data collection initiative, entitled “ We Share, We Learn, We Grow”; during which, members of the public were engaged by the Child Affairs’ team in an experience of sharing and learning on the importance of child rights and protection. The intent of this initiative is to foster awareness and to assess the public’s response to issues related to children and their well-being. Between Wednesday 28th February 2024, and today, representatives of the Division visited Valencia and Rio Claro Junction respectively. Members of the public can look forward to meeting our team at Arouca Junction and in Siparia next week and are welcome to engage with our representatives, identified by their “Be a Hero!” t-shirts. Yesterday (Wednesday 13th December, 2023), the Child Affairs Division embarked on a three (3) day sensitisation and data collection initiative, entitled “ We Share, We Learn, We Grow”; during which staff will engage members of the public in targeted areas regarding child rights and protection. The intent of this initiative is to foster awareness and to assess the public’s response to issues related to children and their well-being. Between yesterday and today, representatives of the Division have visited areas such as Port of Spain, San Juan, San Fernando, Arima and Debe. Tomorrow, members of the public can look forward to meeting our team in areas such as Sangre Grande, Princes Town and Chaguanas. Be a Hero!
