Psalm 121 was my grandmothers favorite. And I think of it often, albeit I recite it in Spanish because my grandmother did not speak any English. It has become one of my favorites as well and I truly can relate to it in this difficult season of life. Only a select few are aware that my mother had a stroke in the past few weeks. She can still talk but is very weak, sleeps a lot, refuses to eat and drink much and take her medications. It has not been easy and has been incredibly difficult to watch up close and personal. Hoping I am making the right decisions for her and advocating/fight for her as she would for me. I don’t know why we suffer on this earth, only the Lord knows. I often ask Him, “A woman who was unashamedly your believer and shared you with EVERYONE she met and had no shame. One who has been sick since a girl, but still had the insight even in immense pain to say, ‘I praise you anyway’. Why must she continue to suffer at the very end of her life?” Oh I know I never get an answer from Him, but I am comforted to know that He is mindful, He sees, Loves and surrounds me with His love and comfort. For those of you that are going through really hard times, know you are not alone, even though you may think and feel alone. This help is often needed in the form of dishes, laundry, or other chores that come in overwhelming abundance. Do you ever feel that way?
