Okay where are all my purple people campers at!?! Lots of purple quilts and I promise that these pictures aren’t just the same piece lol. So I decided that this newer 10D fabric with the mini/micro ripstop has pretty much the same wind resistance as the 15D. It’s a beautiful purple, nylon and with a great DWR. Weight wise it’s around .7/.71 oz/yd which is slightly heavier than the .66/.67 10D. It’s perfect! I picked up a roll of it and it’s the purple I’m going to stick with. (Color is pretty much the same). So don’t be worried about durability, it’s great!! I have this fabric in purple, dark olive, moss & burnt orange. I think a few hikers are a bit tentative of using 10D fabrics. 10D fabrics loft quicker, weigh less and are still quite tough. Tips: I never let my pets near my gear. I know some can’t resist. Hang them out to air out after you are back from a trip. When not in use store them in the lofty storage bag. Guess what?
