|| Quote || Deze quote is mijn all time favorite.
#architecturaldigest #archidigest #interiordesign #designinspiration #homedecor #tranquildesign #interiorstyling #texture #zen #interiordesigner #homedesign #interiorstyle #localdesigners #creativeproject #modernliving #architecturaldesign #dreamhome #collectedinterior #thriftstorefinds #amsterdamliving #midcenturymodern #midcenturyarchitecture #bespokeinteriordesign #interiorarchitecture

This stunning credenza is a testament to the exquisite craftsmanship and unique design sensibility of John Mascheroni. The piece, which dates back to the 1970s, is crafted from exotic zebra wood sourced from central Africa, giving it a one-of-a-kind appearance that is sure to impress. The polished chrome steel sides are a standout feature, resembling two cascading waterfalls that add a touch of glamour to the piece. Despite its striking appearance, the credenza is also highly functional, with two spacious shelves and three pull-out drawers providing ample storage space. It is worth noting that this particular credenza might be one of a kind, as we haven't seen another example like it before. It is an authentic piece as it still has the original designer tag intact. Overall, this credenza is a true work of art that is sure to elevate any interior space. #californiamodernism #vintage #midcenturymodern #midcenturymoderndesign #midcenturyfurniture #interiordesign #vintagefurniture #design #style #modernist #designer #midcenturyliving #decor #moderndesign #midcenturyarchitecture #home #interiors #20thcentury #furniture #interiordesign #homedecor #sofa #seat #losangeles #vintage #setdesign #sofadesign #danishdesign #europe #newyork #fabulous #modern

KĂŒhe lebten also hier nicht. Design iterations are nothing but a Darwinist Theory put into practice. The best design survives. Sometimes you have a strong idea at the beginning that needs further exploration to prove the first idea was the best. Sometimes the process of creating various similar options changes the perception of the original idea. Riverview was a mid-century home renovation done in 2022. Today Riverview enjoys a new palette exterior selection - If this was your project, what version would you pick? #decisionsgame

El Hidalgo Hotel, Valdepeñas, Spain designed by the Spanish architect, Antonio Lamela, 1959 @joseiturria Photograph courtesy of Studio Lamela Architects “The site chosen was then a four-hour drive from Madrid, thus an ideal place to stop and spend the night during a trip to AndalucĂa. With this in mind, an ambitious program was conceived that was to have occupied almost seven hectares of the Manchegan plain. Though designed in its totality, only the first phase was built in the end. Today, with travel time considerably reduced, the motel is mainly used by hunters. The building complex was arranged so that the sense of horizontality would predominate. The louvers applied to the general service openings and the bathrooms emphasized the horizontality. The surrounding landscape was of little interest, with only the distant background of mountains to the south and the east. For this reason, close and attractive views were created in the remaining directions. The shapes of the different volumes were carefully designed with the objective of creating a varied play of volumes within the uniformity and simplicity of the whole. Pedestrian and vehicular circulation, as well as landscaped areas, unified the complex. All the rooms faced the garden areas. Three metal publicity towers were strategically placed at the perimeter and the center of the built complex. The central tower offers information as to the availability of rooms. Local materials were used. Maximum nobility and durability were sought, and natural textures were maintained in the metal work, carpentry and brick surfaces. According to a journalist in 1960, “it is with a notable skill that Mr. Lamela achieves his apparent objectives in creating the ambience of the Hidalgo complex: comfort, quality and simplicity, without passing the limits of what we could call a discrete luxury.” (Source: Studio Lamela Architects) #antoniolamela #elhidalgohotel #valdepenas #spain #españa #modernmovement #modern #modernarchitecture #modernist #modernistarchitecture #modernism #modernismweek #architecture #design #archdesign #mcm #midcentury #midcenturyarchitecture #midcenturymodern #midcenturymodernarchitecture

Grandstand of the Nuremberg Stadium (Olympic Games of 1932) Germany, designed by the German architect, Otto Ernst Schweizer, 1928 Photograph courtesy of the Nuremberg City Archives, A 38 No. C-3-VI @de.monchaux “Since 1966, it has been home stadium to the German 2. Bundesliga club 1. FC NĂŒrnberg. During the 1972 Summer Olympics, it hosted six football matches. In 1967, it hosted the European Cup Winners' Cup final between Rangers and Bayern Munich. Bayern won 1–0. The stadium hosted five games of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, including the famous match between Portugal and the Netherlands, consequently known as the Battle of Nuremberg. Beginning in 1933, the National Socialists began to use the stadium as a marching area for the Hitler Youth.[citation needed] The fourth Deutsche Kampfspiele (German Combat Games), one of the biggest events organized by the Nazi Sports Body, took place in this stadium from 23–29 July 1934. Following 1963, the stadium was reconditioned multiple times, so that it could meet the requirements for football in the Bundesliga. Max-Morlock-Stadion has been renovated twice, firstly from 1988 to 1991, and then again in 2002, to be ready in time for both the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2006 World Cup. The 2002 renovation cost €56.2 million which was split between the city of NĂŒrnberg, the State of Bavaria and the building society, which managed the stadium. This modernisation (designed and realized by HPP Architects) increased the capacity to 48,548 by extending the southwest and northwest grandstand. The playing field was lowered by 1.30 metres in order to provide all seats with an unrestricted view of the field. The Max-Morlock-Platz was developed as a place for fans to meet and enjoy something to eat; the total area of this place is 1,000 square metres.[citation needed] In the summer of 2012, the capacity was increased to 50,000.” - source: Wikipedia #ottoschweizer #nurembergstadium #nuremberg #germany #deutschland #modernmovement #modern #modernarchitecture #modernist #modernistarchitecture #modernism #modernismweek #architecture #design #archdesign #mcm #midcentury #midcenturyarchitecture #midcenturymodern #midcenturymodern
