His eyes widened at the sight of the beige shirt, taupe trousers and slightly askew hat of a lawman in the sheriffโs department. The cop sat at the counter Robin and Jenna had occupied. He leaned back on his stool to give the man in the dirty jeans a calm, unimpressed stare. Jennaโs would-be suitor hesitated in barking out a response as he took in the uniform. โI was just talking; is that not allowed in this town?โ The cop shrugged in answer. โBad chat-up lines like that should be illegal but luckily for you theyโre not. Harassment, however, thatโs a different story.โโ Dan is the deputy in Angel Hollow. Charming, humorous and a little flirtatious with an easygoing nature and a surprising tendency to curse, he opts to talk people out of situations if he can. He clashes a little with Officer Basil Black but itโs all in good fun. He is close with Jack and his family and is usually Jackโs right hand man on duty. He bought Cassie a stuffed animal to comfort her in hospital. He demonstrates his sense of humour by decorating the Break Room with beaked masks when it loses the r in its sign and has a tendency to tease his co-workers. Despite his comical side he is a very good deputy although he can be a risk taker. As an attractive charmer he is quick to catch the attention of the newcomers to the town and, unknowingly, has a few locals crushing on him as well. They were almost devoid of color, detracting from the brightness of his slightly off-center smile. Although he smiled at her and had a welcoming warmth to his fair face, she still noted the shadows beneath his eyes, a hint of the worry he carried from this morningโs events.โ Matt is the son of Sheriff Jack Tanner and brother to Cassie. His job as a ranger encompasses his life, his two closest friends Johnny and Koji are rangers too and he doesnโt socialise much outside work. Matt struggles to find hobbies that stick so he dedicates himself to his work instead. He enjoys certain traditions of Angel Hollow particularly in fall such as caramel apples and the scarecrow display but is not a fan of horror or Halloween and struggles to stomach gore in his job. Character Board - Sheriff Jack Tanner from Thereโs Something in the Woods ๐ฒ ๐บ. โThe Sheriff, knowing the storm that was coming, had already prepared for it and called for assistance. In his past life, working in a metropolis where murder had become mundane from its commonness, heโd seen plenty of bodies.โ Jack is the Sheriff in Angel Hollow when three deceased girlsโ bodies are found hanging in the woods. He has lived there for years with his son Ranger Matt Tanner and his daughter Cassie Tanner. Years ago, he worked on the force in the city. Jack is caught trying to divide his time up serving the town in his efforts to keep the people safe and solve the crime, and trying to help his daughter through a tough time. He tries to be welcoming to visiting Detective Riviona Moon as she has come to help him with the murders but at times he resents her presumptions about how he is running the case. As the victims are strangers to town, he feels a lot of pressure from the locals to wrap the case up quickly and there is little sympathy in town for them. Jack feels a strong duty to get them justice, refusing to sweep it under the rug just because they arenโt locals. He is very close to both his children but finds it challenging at times being a single parent. Knowing the dangers in town with a killer lurking he is extra protective of his teenaged daughter Cassie. (Mach.94) Meet the cast! Mach.94 is a universe of mine which tells the story of Mel, and all the people that she has a mutual hatred with. Itโs more than that, but weโll get to it. Mel is a high-speed delivery pilot. The story is inspired by Inception and John Wick, which might give an idea as to the kind of cargo she carries. Merki is an assassin who will stop at nothing to make sure poor Mel is dead. Mel does not know why. Thereโs Buka, the corporat who would sell your soul for a single corn chip. Lewis is his nephew. Heโs terribly insecure, a fact which isnโt helped by being related to Buka. Horus, a genuine ally in the chaos and all-around cool guy. Typaeon, the one who died first. And Yggdrasil, the one he haunts.
