Meals on Wheels: Day of 1 of the last 2 days of delivery volunteer mornings that Wolf & I booked 🙂 They will do a letter showing all of his volunteer hours to his school, Helix. Today was beautiful with tons of dramatic clouds, super cute hidden cottages in storybook cobblestone roads with no names and all kinds of holiday decorations including this big pebble peace sign. We debated each other & Siri, as usual, but this just adds to the good 'hood drive. And I got to forage a giant "Fairy Castle" cactus piece. Last night I got to say a game of the year lives to the hype. @ghhseaglesfootball was dominant offensively and defensively but @helixfootball fought back led by Kevin Allen III who single-handedly force the overtime period. And it went 2 overtimes as Helix went for 2 but halted by Granite Hills winning 44-43 and clinching the Grossmont Hills title plus a spot in the Open Division meant they are the first school to reach the Open Division a year after winning the Division 2 championship in the @cifsds . This game is also a coming of age moment for the likes of RBs Pablo Jackson and Maxwell Turner, QB Zachary Benitez and WR Brendan Lewis for @graniteeagles like the Lancer Day epic for Carlsbad QB Julian Sayin in 2021. Now I went to @carlsbadhighschool for their Lancer Day celebration and the theme is the Greatest Show on Earth. They survived 41-34 against @lccfootball_official and have officially ensured Helix a spot in the Open Division despite losing last night.
