MARCELLO MÍO Mai 2024 - 6/10 Sentiment ambivalent en sortant de la séance car partagée entre un véritable enthousiasme et un certain malaise pour ce nouveau long-métrage de Christophe Honoré. À savoir un film en montagnes russes qui alterne des scènes réjouissantes en référence à la filmographie de Mastroianni avec une Chiara perturbée par le poids de son ascendance paternelle, grimée en Marcello, et des séquences un tantinet malaisantes. Une gêne certainement due à cet entre-soi flagrant et dont le spectateur lambda se sent logiquement exclu. Un microcosme "septième art germanopratin" poussé à son paroxysme comme lorsque Luchini brosse le portrait élogieux, mais sans aucun intérêt pour le récit, des parents de Melvil Poupaud, l’ex-gendre de Catherine Deneuve. Si cette dernière et sa "nepo baby" sont parfaites tout du long, et que Luchini parvient à ne pas faire trop "du Luchini", Benjamin Biolay, qui n’a toujours pas avalé un clown, persiste dans l’unique registre qu’on lui connaît depuis le début de sa carrière d’acteur: faire la tronche ! Lassant ! Enfin intéressant de connaître le deal orchestré avec le milliardaire Laurent Dassault pour qu’il apparaisse au casting dans un rôle certes mineur (le propriétaire de l’ancien appartement du couple Deneuve-Mastroianni) mais tellement mal interprété ! Marjane Satrapi & Vincent Paronnaud — Persepolis. (2007) Ce film-là, ça faisait aussi un bout de temps que j'avais envie de le voir ! Il s'agit d'une adaptation des quatre tomes du roman graphique homonyme de Marjane Satrapi dans lesquels elle raconte sa jeunesse en Iran puis son exil (assez difficile) en Autriche à cause de la guerre entre l'Iran et l'Irak. J'ai beaucoup aimé le film : que ce soit le dessin assez épuré, avec ses beaux clairs-obscurs ou parfois ses moments qui semblent plus hétérogènes en terme de texture visuelle (on dirait presque parfois que plusieurs matériaux/techniques ont été utilisés simultanément) ; que ce soit par la beauté des passages sur l'exil ; que ce soit par le très beau motif récurrent de la grand-mère avec ses fleurs de jasmin ; j'ai aussi aimé que le film soit ponctué de passages assez drôles (la plupart des séquences musicales ou la rencontre avec les jeunes de gauche à Vienne, par exemple). « MARCELLO MIO » de Christophe HONORÉ avec Chiara Mastroianni, Catherine Deneuve et Fabrice Luchini (2024) @emmanuelle_hilaire J’ai vu ce nouveau film de Christophe Honoré il y a quelques jours avec ma collègue, et malheureusement ce fut une déception pour ma part.. Le réalisateur, que j’ai toujours défendu et aimé ses précédents longs-métrages, m’a un peu perdu tant j’ai trouvé que celui-ci tourne dans le vide et ne m’a pas vraiment passionné. C’est typiquement le genre de comédie qui scindera les spectateurs en deux clans, ceux qui aiment voir ce genre de cinéma ; et d’autres pour qui cela ne suffit pas malgré une distribution de rêve.. J’attendais quand même un vrai scénario et une histoire bien construite. Il faut quand même saluer la performance bluffante de Chiara Mastroianni qui se donne à fond dans son rôle et elle nous régale assez ! Tous ses proches jouent leurs propres rôles : sa mère Catherine Deneuve, l’ami de la famille et l’ex petit ami de Chiara, Melvil Poupaud, mais aussi Benjamin Biolay avec qui elle partage sa vie depuis 2002 ou encore Fabrice Luchini et Nicole Garcia. Ce film propose une réflexion assez fantaisiste mais inégale sur la famille, la célébrité et le cinéma, avec des références à la carrière du célèbre comédien italien. Puis, je l’ai trouvé vraiment long, avec toutefois de jolis moments et d’autres assez drôles, mais pendant toute ma séance, je me suis demandé où le réalisateur veut aller avec cette proposition de cinéma qui m’a vraiment laissé dubitatif.. 🎬 MARCELLO MIO - Christophe Honoré | ⭐ 5,5/10 Qu'il est compliqué d'écrire sur le film d'un réalisateur dont on adore quasiment toute l'oeuvre lorsque sa dernière proposition est une déception de bout en bout... Peut-être l'attente était-elle trop grande ? Un casting de rêve, un concept original et décalé sur le papier, un nouveau film qui décide de se jouer de la fiction et de la réalité... Et au final, un long-métrage qui ne m'embarque jamais ou presque, et qui finit même par m'ennuyer et me perdre. Quelque chose qui ne prend pas, peut-être car l'on ne saisit finalement jamais l'enjeu du film et qu'il n'est pas suffisamment clair sur la démarche de son héroïne, dont on ne sait jamais vraiment si elle agit en pleine conscience ou sous le coup d'un délire passager. Alors oui, le thème du poids de la filiation y est abordé de manière juste et le film parvient à trouver un point d'équilibre intéressant entre légèreté et mélancolie. Oui, Christophe Honoré filme tous ses acteurs avec une tendresse infinie, mais l'on sent qu'il a bien du mal à se saisir d'une histoire qui n'est pas la sienne, et notamment à faire exister les nombreux personnages secondaires, dont celui du soldat anglais, très roman photo, qui n'apporte pas grand chose au récit et qui n'est pas sans rappeler celui dont Chiara Mastroianni s'entichait déjà dans les Bien-Aimés. Le film pourrait même sembler contreproductif par rapport à son intention initiale. Alors que l'idée semblait être pour Chiara d'aller de manière radicale au bout d'une démarche afin de s'affranchir enfin de cet héritage parental trop lourd à porter, et malgré un final dont la métaphore du délestage est assez lourde, on la sent, tout au long du film, totalement écrasée par ce personnage qu'elle habite et par cette figure paternelle, dont elle a bien du mal à incarner le charisme légendaire.
