Dans le nouveau monde qui s'offre à nous, tout change très vite, on enchaîne les mises à jour. On en à peine digéré une, qu'une nouvelle version sort déjà ! Ainsi va la vie dans ce monde qui va de plus en plus vite. C'est pourquoi, je pense que vivre régulièrement à "l'instant t" est bénéfique pour nous et notre cerveau. Aujourd'hui, je partage avec toi cette photo qui symbolise pour moi cette façon de vivre le moment présent ! Je me souviens de ce jour où je me suis arrêté sur cette route parce que je trouvais que la perspective était intéressante ! Je n'étais pas en avance sur mon planning ! 😅 J'avais 10 000 trucs à faire ! Mais je me suis quand même, le temps de quelques instants, arrété pour assouvir mon besoin de prendre cette photo et d'immortaliser ce paysage de campagne que je trouvais fort pittoresque. Adagiato nell’estremo lembo nord-occidentale della Sardegna, Stintino si protende verso l’Asinara, quasi a toccarla. Proprio lì, dove la sfiora, mostra il suo capolavoro, La Pelosa: fondale limpido e bassissimo per decine di metri, sabbia candida e impalpabile, abbagliante e placido mare con tutte le tonalità dell’azzurro. Accanto alla ‘sorella maggiore’, c’è la Pelosetta, chiusa da un isolotto sovrastato da una torre aragonese (del 1578), simbolo della Pelosa. Da una ‘terrazza’ sulla spiaggia ‘tropicale’, a duecento metri d’altezza, godrai di un panorama unico su isola Piana e parco nazionale dell’Asinara, incontaminato e selvaggio: Stintino è il luogo d’imbarco più vicino per visitarlo. Il territorio stintinese è un lembo di terra tra due mari. A ovest il suggestivo ‘mare di fuori’, con costa alta e frastagliata alternata a calette di sabbia e ciottoli: da Capo Falcone, luogo selvaggio sorvegliato anch’esso da una torre spagnola (la più alta della Nurra) e sorvolato da falchi pellegrini e della regina, sino a Cala del Vapore, attraverso Valle della Luna e Coscia di donna. A est il ‘mare di dentro’, all’interno del golfo: costa bassa e riparata che dalla Pelosa, passando per L’Ancora e gli scogli di Punta Negra, arriva sino ai sassolini bianchi e tondi del lungo litorale de Le Saline ed Ezzi Mannu. In mezzo un’oasi naturale con stagni (Cesaraccio e Pilo), dove vivono airone rosso, garzetta e martin pescatore. The word “quilotoa” comes from the local Quechua language, a group native to the central Andes region. — At an elevation of around 3,800 to 3,900 meters (12,467 to 12,795 feet), Ecuador’s Laguna Quilotoa is tucked within a rugged countryside, criss-crossed with well-worn hiking trails crawling all over the Andes mountain. The area is still home to many indigenous peoples, who make their living farming on the land much as they have for thousands of years. You’ll see their homes and patches of farmland dotting the hillsides and meet them on the trails nearby, usually wearing traditional Andean clothing and often herding sheep with a llama or two. — The tiny town of Quilotoa sits nearby to the lake’s southwest, and is the best place to view the lake and begin the hike around its rim. The hike along the rim of the crater is about 7.5 km (4.7 miles), offering four or five hours of views down into the deep lake. — Some of trails are suffering from erosion, especially those leading to the area at the base of the crater, where you can wander or even camp. But since the lake is only accessible by local buses and winding mountain roads, it remains less frequented than some of the region’s other spots. It is one of several closely related genera in the family to bear the common English name mallow. The genus is widespread throughout the temperate, subtropical and tropical regions of Africa, Asia and Europe. The leaves are alternate, palmately lobed. The flowers are from 0.5–5 cm diameter, with five pink, lilac, purple or white petals.” — “This plant is one of the earliest cited in recorded literature. The third century BC physician Diphilus of Siphnus wrote that "[mallow] juice lubricates the windpipe, nourishes, and is easily digested." Horace mentions it in reference to his own diet, which he describes as very simple: "Me pascunt olivae, / me cichorea levesque malvae" ("As for me, olives, endives, and mallows provide sustenance"). It has a 3 km diameter crater lake formed during a catastrophic VEI 6 eruption some 800 years ago. The volcano has a long repose time followed by massive eruptions. We covered volcanoes in the Ecuadorian Andes in previous posts. These include Reventador in 2015 and Cotopaxi in 2015 and Cotacachi – Cuicocha. — The volcano itself tops out at 3,914 m at the rim. The surface of the lake is 3,500 m and is 240 m deep. There are fumaroles present in the lake and hot springs on the eastern flank. — Quilotoa is some 90 km SW from Ecuador’s capitol city of Quito. The closest town is Zumbahua, some 10 km S. There are 40,000 within 10 km of the crater lake. Most of these are in Zumbahua. There are over 4 million within 100 km. Most of these are in Quito to the north. — Over the years, tourism to Quilotoa has grown in popularity. There is a vehicle route from Zumbahua to the small town of Quilotoa on the NE flank of the volcano. There are also a number of hostels and places to stay on the volcano itself, one of which is located on the southern shore of the crater lake. Water in the lake is not potable due to contributions from fumaroles. Though, as crater lakes go, the water could be a lot more toxic. Swimming in the lake is not permitted, as the drop-offs are very steep, and the water is very cold. Exposure to dissolved volcanic minerals in the water is considered unhealthy. The 3-kilometre (2 mi)-wide caldera was formed by the collapse of this dacite volcano following a catastrophic VEI-6 eruption about 800 years ago, which produced pyroclastic flows and lahars that reached the Pacific Ocean, and spread an airborne deposit of volcanic ash throughout the northern Andes. This last eruption followed a dormancy period of 14,000 years and is known as the 1280 Plinian eruption. The fourth (of seven) eruptive phase was phreatomagmatic, indicating that a Crater lake was already present at that time. The caldera has since accumulated a 250-metre-deep (820 ft) crater lake, which has a greenish color as a result of dissolved minerals.
