After all the weather excitement last night I forgot to share the blessing that came while we were in the storm shelter! I received an email congratulating me on my acceptance into the Parrsboro International Plein Air Festival 2024, in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia!!! Deb and I are especially pleased to get this notice. While I have backed off of doing many events this year in favor of other activities, one of those activities is an extended trip to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, and we planned the travels around the event schedule hoping that things would work out. I have been quite negligent about posting the last few months, mainly because I haven’t watered to! Sorry about that! This year I am doing things a bit differently. I am backing off many of the Plein Air events in order to focus on painting larger, exploring oils and various other experiments, along with traveling more with my wife. Recently I have been working on several full sheet watercolor paintings, partly en Plein Air, of scenes within a few minutes from my studio. Yesterday I was laying out another painting of a structure that I have shared before, and I had the great privilege to meet the owner of the property, Dick Hoffman of the Hoffman Pecan Farm, which is on another area of this property.
