We are thrilled to share a testimony that exemplifies the power of faith in action. Just about month ago, I prophesied over All Saints church in Piopio. Part of what I shared was a vision of an all-night prayer vigil with open doors welcoming the community. Fast forward to today, and we stand in awe of how swiftly God moves when we align our steps with His. We received news that an all-night prayer meeting has indeed been scheduled! I've never posted personal social media twice on a day, but the spirit moves me so this evening. This seventh (liturgical calendar) Sunday of Easter coincides with Mother's Day and for my own worship community, our monthly Birthday Sunday as well. We always feature monthly birthday cakes at our post service social for fellows born in each respective month. This evening, we kept in our hearts and shared in community prayers for our moms, for those who are close by and for those who are close in our memories. Spiritual bouquet name cards were collected alongside our service ritual offerarory. Afterward was strawberry shortcake, and it struck me deeply. My mom loved layer cakes and loved sweets above food. Seeing the writing on this layer cake and knowing that that bakery was from an area in Queens so close to our roots just struck me like the lovliest sign near and dear.
