🥞 @fluffyfluffyuk Bristol 🥞 As you can see, these are the fluffiest pancakes ever! I can confirm that they are as soft as they look, pillowy soft, melt in the mouth light. We shared two between 3 of us, and they were demolished so quickly. Not sure if that is a good thing or not 😅 they were very enjoyable! We picked: 🍌Creme Brûlée They added some burnt sugar on top of the pancakes and bananas, that added a nice sugary crisp against the soft creamy pancake. 🍓Nutella Strawberry I will always pick Nutella over anything else on a menu, and with added strawberries, this is a classic combo! I’m sure you’ve had chocolate and strawberries before, so this doesn’t require too much explanation. This was a 10/10. The cafe is very cute, yellow and white themed throughout with super friendly/helpful staff. Is this the best chocolate in Bristol? 🍫☕ I recently attended a phenomenal three-course tasting event hosted by @rubyhuechocolate and @cliftoncoffee at @rubyhuechocolate charming shop in Bristol. It was, as you can imagine, an absolute treat! The event featured three types of coffee perfectly paired with single-origin chocolates from Thailand, Uganda, and Peru. The experience was something I would love to do again! I really enjoyed discovering the incredible similarities between the chocolate and coffee industries. From the supply chain, to the growing consumer demand for high-quality, single-origin products and experimental processing methods—chocolate is now catching up to the journey coffee has been on for years. Absolutely fascinating! Huge thanks to Ruby Hue and Clifton Coffee for organizing such an informative and delightful event. 📍Pasta Ripiena, Bristol I visited @pastaripiena for a second time in late March, this time for dinner to try their a la carte menu before going to a show at the Hippodrome 🎭 I had red mullet to start, followed by doppio ravioli of trout in a watercress velouté with mussels, carrots and peas, and we shared panna cotta for dessert 🍮 The ravioli filling was delicious but I prefer a thicker sauce that packs more of a punch, although I appreciate that it didn’t overwhelm the trout. Such a yummy, delicious, scrumptious tapas last night at @underthestarsbar before seeing Hamilton at the hippodrome! Such a good vibe in there and the novelty of being on a boat didn’t quite wear off lol. We had the Camembert to start, then the chicken, chorizo, cauliflower, gambas, patatas bravas and manchego between 3 of us. All of it was so so good but the chicken stood out as the best for me. 📍Matina, Bristol I visited @matina_middleeastern in @stnicksmarket for a second time back in March as the first time I tried their food I was massively impressed. This time I had their mixed chicken and lamb in naan with all the available extras, including red cabbage, onions, salad and a mix of condiments 🌯 This was just as tasty as the first time; however, I think the boxmeal is my favourite as you can better appreciate the flavours of the meats and extras. 📍lucky strike, bedminster. what a spot! @luckystrike.uk is a modern british diner in bedminster with a quirky menu and fab interiors. it felt like we were back in time with all the beautiful wood finishes! 🌈❤️🔥 would definitely recommend this spot - they also do brekkie too which i’m hoping to try at some point! 📻 dorset venison pepperoni 📻 smoked mackerel bun with pickled rhubarb (LOVED this), chicken and chorizo aioli, confit garlic and tahini dip with broad beans peas and flatbread 📻 hereford bavette, green peppercorn sauce and rocket, duck fat potatoes with herb mayo, tomato, shallot salad 📻 black forest delight, melon and blackcurrant eton mess (love this take on an eton mess! they’re taking risks here and ACING IT 😋) absolutely fab! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
