It's that time of year! 🙌🏻 ●The last day of homeschool will be this coming week! We do not homeschool all year round, but we do continue to do a couple of things through the summer. Want to keep that memory fresh 🤗 ●Right now, I've been planning for next homeschool year. I will be honest, I've been stressing for curriculums for 3rd grade year, but my mind finally had enough & I need to relax. There is NO PERFECT curriculum, and it is okay to supplement if you need to. There are highs and lows, but I will tell you, homeschool is not perfect! ⬅️ That is PERFECTLY FINE!! I went through 3 different curriculums for L.A & kept going back to the one, and that is okay! Whatever works for your child is what is IMPORTANT! 💙 I am CONSTANTLY changing things. If you haven't noticed 😂 i I always second guess myself, which I tell myself to stop, but you know how that brain works, haha! Daughter has an egg drop project. She needed to design a box that holds an egg that survives drop. That box will be drop from top of school floor with an egg in it. And the egg needs to be not broken when it is dropped. She designed a box filled with cotton balls to protect the egg and add a parachute. We helped her make the box with popsicle sticks and the parachute out of trash bag. Made the closure with yarn and popsticle sticks. The day the egg drop project came, her egg survived the drop. I would have tested it and makes sure the design was good. Replace the popsticle sticks with card board to lighten the weight. But whatever the egg survived to my surprise. #2ndgrade

Gen. 1:31 ~ at my school we celebrate the end of the school year with an ‘ABC Countdown’! each letter of the alphabet corresponds with a day of school until the last day! today is U for Up Day as in ‘look up for inspiration’ ☁️ today the kids learned about the beauty of the Sistine Chapel located in Rome, Italy! the beautiful chapel depicts the creation of mankind & also key stories from the book of Genesis. we talked about how it took Michelangelo more than 4 years to to complete the paintings of the entire chapel’s walls & ceilings and also how he painted it on his back! that takes dedication!! to put themselves in Michelangelo’s shoes they got a piece of paper & tape and drew something that inspires them underneath their desk! this was so fun and I can’t wait to see the kids’ completed art work! have a fantastic friday 🤍🕊️✨
