Ash Ra Tempel was a West German krautrock group led by guitarist Manuel Göttsching that was active from 1970 to 1976.
Schwingungen is the second album and was released in 1972 on Ohr. The album’s first song “Light” is heavily inspired by Peter Green’s playing on Fleetwood Mac’s “Albatross”.
Ash Ra Tempel exerted a relatively large influence on later space rock, krautrock, electronic and ambient music.
