Originally when I wrote this post, I was referring to a classroom and school environment. Recently though, I’ve noticed how true this is for many, many homeschooling children too.
Parents- if you choose homeschooling, remember all of the reasons you left the classroom and do your best not to replicate that experience for your child.
If you’re hitting resistance with learning, assess why that’s happening. Look at the environment and expectations - are they unique to your child or mimicking what would happen in a classroom?
