“Panta Rhei - Everything flows, nothing remains.” (Heraclitus of Ephesus, c. 535 - 475 BC) describes the incessant change of all things and the constant flow of everything in the world. In her latest photographs, Gudrun Kemsa illustrates these ideas, and the artist’s specific ways of depicting them change our perception of the everyday. Be it urban scenes or glittering water surfaces - they glide through space and time and give the viewer an insight into the Heraclitean doctrine of a flowing world. In Gudrun Kemsa’s video installations, the image motifs move past the viewer in long, flowing shots of urban space or nature. The current exhibition in the gallery includes motifs from Bonn’s urban and rural surroundings.
