This song is special. It’s different than many other songs. Many songs, when you look behind the words, are feelings of lack and yearning. Especially songs about love. I would debate that that’s not love, but a misinterpretation of love. However, these types of songs still hold value. They help us feel seen in these very limited but important states of being. They help us feel less alone as we move through the experience we are presently having which is not to be invalidated. This song, Thank U, by @alanis is written purely about gratitude for all that is. Both the good and the bad. The energetic signature and the message are very different. Gratitude is a state that can unlock SO much. It can be a challenging state to maintain when that means managing our human emotions and ego that constantly want to take control and place blame outside of ourselves. Alternatively, being able to perceive how a person, situation, or circumstance is supportive, even when it feels hurtful is next level. To perceive everything as on the way and not in the way will change your life experience entirely. This song helps me remember that.
