Both pictures are of Rhododendrons. The first is Gibraltar and the second Nova Zembla.
A lot of people worry at this time of year that their Rhododendrons have not flowered and are yet to open.
Not all Rhododendrons are equal, some flower early, some late. They won't necessarily flower the same time each year because the weather is different each year. This year, it's been cold, and some areas are more exposed than others, so many are slow to get going.
Good things come to those that wait!
