"Standing on Top of the Universe" by Ann Binlot (April 6, 2024) | Family Style ✦ Saya Woolfalk, the artist behind 'We Emerge at the Sunset of Your Ideology,' originally commissioned for 'Rising Sun' and currently part of 'Artists as Cultivators' at PAFA, creates works that aim to provide moments of calm and comtemplation for viewers. Her installation 'Visionary Reality Portal,' located in the Peninsula Hong Kong hotel, is a multisensory digital meditation chamber that incorporates cultural references drawn from the artists' multicultural identity to create a space that encourages viewers to meditate and reflect. The experience includes colorful, dancing flowers and a dream soundscape fit for a transquil atmostphere. Woolfalk hopes that visitors will engage with the installation by sitting down, looking, listening, and feeling, experiencing a sense of being "on top of the universe."
