It’s been a real treat having these framed works in the studio for a couple of weeks, it’s usually a last minute pick up from the framers before delivering the pieces to be hung. I was very organised this time because of other stuff going on.
I can’t wait to deliver these to @ameliamaxwellartadvisory on Portobello Road, ready for the opening on 8th May!
Portobello Road holds a special place in my heart, having grown up in West London, I always loved going there with my Mum who loves vintage clothes and sometimes used to do a stall there or just take us for a browse and some nice veggie food.
In my 20’s I lived close to Portobello and then in my 30’s i also had a stall at the market, selling vintage and customised clothing as well as handmade fashion accessories. Not to mention my love of the Notting Hill Carnival ever since my mum used to take me as a kid. So many memories.
Will be wonderful to be back there, this time with my paintings! A real dream come true.
