In my 20s there is no doubt I would have thought my business was my biggest accomplishment and asset. In my 30s, continuing that business with two of my partners dying in a plane crash, hitting the Inc 500, and NY Times appeared to be what was going to define that decade of my life, but really it was taking two months to spend with my family in Italy. Getting my business in a place to do that so I could connect with my kids, my wife, and friends and family that visited absolutely changed my life. I am just starting my 40s, but the first year was a renaissance of sorts: developing hobbies, buying a cabin on the river, and seeing myself more as an artist and thought leader as my way to create value in the world. #joy
