I had so many elevated emotions this week at the National Migrant Education Conference. I truly enjoy surprises and they made some of their best appearances. I was a migrant student through elementary school. I learned to swim and be confident in and around bodies of water because of the migrant summer program. The Migrant Education Program gave me and my family so much and its presence in my life continues to bring so much joy. I am extremely grateful.
