Knowing we all feel it too.⁠<br />⁠<br />Instagram is a weird place to be as a parent. The perfect feeds, perfect smiles and clean houses, clean kids and cute cut up shaped foods.⁠<br />⁠<br />I want you to know that the picture perfect Instagram feeds, that is not parenting. I want you to know that where we shine, we show. Whether that's our neighbor, our SIL, or a big mommy influencer. We show where we shine.🌟⁠<br />⁠<br />Did you know that we're in this together? Did you know that your neighbor Michelle, who has a perfectly designed house that is clean 24/7, did you know that guilt eats her up inside because her kid will only eat mac and cheese?⁠<br />⁠<br />Did you know that the food blogger, who is cutting up cute shaped food for her kid, that's her passion. That her house is in total disarray, but hey, she LOVES nutrition, and that's where she's shining.⁠<br />⁠<br />It's ok for us to show where we shine, show your shine too. Maybe it's activities, maybe it's being present + patient, maybe it's being hilarious and goofy. I KNOW you're shining.🌟⁠<br />⁠<br />And? You struggle. I struggle. The food blogger struggles. Your neighbor struggles. It's ok to struggle. We should show more of that too.⁠<br />⁠<br />It's ok to admit that parenting isn't always blissful.⁠<br />It's ok to admit that sometimes, often, parenting IS blissful.⁠<br />It's ok to show the imperfect parts of life on Instagram.⁠<br />It's ok to show the perfect parts of life on Instagram.⁠<br />⁠<br />It's ok to love your kids more than anything AND say that parenting is the hardest thing you've ever done.
