Road Games (1981) An American truck driver is heading across Australia with a trailer full of pork. Along the way he comes across a mysterious man in a van and begins to think he's a serial killer who he's been hearing about on the radio.
This was pretty great. Had me guessing until the end. Stacy Keach is fantastic in the lead role and the majority of the movie is on his shoulders. He's traveling with his pet dingo who serves as his sounding board so he can keep talking throughout all the scenes he's alone. Jamie Lee Curtis doesn't have much screen time but she shines when she's there.
I don't want to get into the plot much because I want you all to watch this and it's better knowing little going in. It's kind of a hybrid of a thriller with some horror elements thrown in. The film was directed well by Richard Franklin, has some amazing cinematography and beautiful shots of southern Australia.
