Akṣaya Tṛtīyā is believed to be one of the most auspicious times of the year and the things that we do or purchase on the day of Akshaya Tritiya are said to never reduce in value.
This day symbolises fresh starts and prosperity, Akshaya Tritiya is a great day to embrace new and/or deeper spiritual practices, new ventures, inner healing journeys and work towards new goals.
Astrologically, it is believed that, on this day the Sun and the Moon are at their most exalted positions, meaning they are in there best positions to each other that there light reached to the earth surface is maximum.
Lord Vishnu is the deity worshiped on this day as he is the one who ‘preserves’ all life and Shri Krishna is a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu.
The Hindu Story of Akshaya Tritiya
A devoted man who was poor in finances was struggling to feed himself and his family. He was with true devotion and love to Shri Krishna that he brought all he had, that was a small bag of rice as an offering of his love and gratitude for Krishna.
Shri Krishna was so blessed to receive such an offering from a man that had hardly anything, every time he ate a gain of that rice it was so sweet and filled with the man’s pure love and devotion, Shri Krishna would bless the man and his family with abundance of wealth and health, prosperity, joy and Devine connection.
