After a spring rain, these small, non-native *star of Bethlehem* wildflowers seemingly pop up overnight.

As to the name, folklore suggests that the flowers originally grew from fragments of the Biblical star of Bethlehem. Or, as to "eleven o'clock lady": the flowers open later in the day...which is demonstrably so!
