This past Monday, a few of us @britannica were invited to the press conference revealing the newest fossil @fieldmuseum. The Archaeopteryx! This fossil is described as the missing link between dinosaurs and birds. Teeth and a tail like a dinosaur, but it's a bird! It's also one of the most complete examples of an Archaeopteryx, and it's right here in Chicago! Jingmai O'Connor, a paleontologist at the museum, was so excited that it's here, as you can see in the second photo!
