I’m over the moon to finally share my latest #LEGOCity design: 60421 Robot World Roller-Coaster Park 🤖🎢
EXO-FORCE LIVES!! It feels incredible to debut a product which pays direct homage to one of my favorite childhood LEGO sets, 7700 Stealth Hunter. Special thanks to my creative leads, Simon Lucas and Chris Stamp, for encouraging such a cool & nerdy reference here! 😎
While the #ExoForce is hard to miss, Robot World also nods at other beloved LEGO themes, like #UltraAgents, #AlienConquest, and of course, #BIONICLE ! (Not to mention, the first LEGO set I ever designed… can you spot it? 😉)
Huge shoutout to our graphic designers @fanboy30 and @bgabrillo who made all these references happen, and populated the park with awesome characters. My fav is the No-Face minion, who has given up their life of crime to become a DJ instead 🎧
Easter eggs aside: this was a really fun, but really challenging, model to design. Those roller coaster tracks are quite big and pricey bricks; they impose tons of restrictions on a set’s layout, stability, complexity, and overall budget. I feel extra proud that this model meets all those needs, and still manages to look like a neon wonderland!
60421 Robot World Roller-Coaster Park launches this summer. I hope you decide to take a ride! 🎢
