Crème Brûlée 🍮

Ingredients:
• 🥛 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 🥚 5 large egg yolks
• 🍬 1/2 cup sugar, plus extra for caramelizing
• 🧂 1 pinch of fine sea salt
• 🍦 1 tsp vanilla extract, or vanilla bean paste
Directions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
• Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
2. Prepare the Custard:
• In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the heavy cream until hot but not boiling.
• In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, and salt until well blended. Gradually pour in the warm cream, stirring continuously. Stir in the vanilla extract.
3. Bake the Custard:
• Pour the custard mixture into ramekins placed in a baking dish. Fill the baking dish with hot water halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
• Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 to 45 minutes, or until the custard is set but still slightly wobbly in the center.
4. Caramelize the Top:
• Remove the custard from the oven and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
• Just before serving, sprinkle a thin layer of sugar over each custard. Use a kitchen torch to melt the sugar until it caramelizes evenly.
5. Garnish and Serve:
• Garnish with fresh raspberries on top for a refreshing contrast to the sweet and creamy custard.
