I don’t think I operate like a ‘normal’ mentor (what is normal anyway though?).. And it’s if you’re thinking of working with me, here are some things you need to know.
I don’t treat you like a silly little girl.
I don’t think I’ve got all the answers.
I also don’t try to be your bestie (you didn’t hire me to be your hype girl).
I bring every part of ME to our space, because I yearn to feel every part of YOU.
I welcome your wins, your losses, your joy, your grief.
I honorably and unquestionably hold you to you highest standard, even when you try your best to convince me that, for whatever reason, you can’t do ‘it’. That is my job and I will ALWAYS do it - even when it feels uncomfortable and gritty A F.
I purposefully, somewhat rebelliously, push the boundaries of ‘professionality’ in conversations because I don’t believe in being niched down into something palatable.
I ALSO believe that ancient aliens engineered us from early hominids to mine gold for their home planet, but we’ll save that yarn for another day 👽👽👽👽
When you hire a mentor, don’t just do it because of the money they make or wins they help their clients receive.
Do it because you F*CK with their way of being, doing, and life-ing.
