Cancers of the tongue are one of the common type of cancers amongst head and neck cancers. Early identification and getting evaluated by oncologists are key features for successful management of such cancers. Symptoms like any ulcers which persist beyond 2-3 weeks, increased sensitivity to spicy food, bleeding from those ulcers, difficulty in chewing & swallowing must not be ignored. Common causes for these include tobacco consumption in any form, betel nuts, smoking, alcohol and persistent trauma by sharp tooth or ill fitting dentures.
Following is patient operated and managed successfully for tongue cancer and was discharged in healthy condition.
