First Amputee Bike Ride!
Peter and I joined itskendrakent father Doug and sister Kaitlin for the NYC 5 Borough Bike Ride, thankfully we had mimmik89 and haleybrowning_ cheering us on!
What a beautiful weekend in the Big City and to experience a 40 mile bike ride on the streets of NYC without cars and with 32k fellow cyclists riders was memorable ! Despite a few glitches we all safely made it to the finish and awoke this morning sore, sunburned and with a sense of accomplishment!
I know I sound like a broken record but truly grateful to be able to partake in things like this and create lifelong memories with family, friends while meeting amazing people along the way!
Won’t go on and on, but want to say a HUGE thank you to all the kind people I met on my travels - so many wonderful people who noticed my disability and were respectful, curious, kind and supportive!!
