Frankenstein #1 Prize Publications 1945…2nd Highest on Census, only the promise collection 9.6 is higher & only 2 9.2 books on census, this book was part of Steve Geppi’s collection and he was very meticulous about only choosing books in high grades and this one is gorgeous.
The EC books need no introduction, probably the most sought after EC Comics out there. CS #22 is the most famous decapitation cover “most notorious cover illustration” by Johnny Craig & SS #6 probably one of the most famous bondage covers ever and probably helped with the sales of bed sheets in the south. Both classic covers and a major part of comic book history.
The Planet Comics have great color strike which is a common issue with this run, another little tidbit of info that’s not really known is that Planet comics 53 was used in the SOTI trials. I don’t what the big deal is but I guess they liked to kink shame in 1948.
