Sadly, most people are taught to obey without questioning as if questioning=disagreement=disrespect.
Curiosity can be respectful. Our inability to admit that we don't know is what offends us not the questioning kid. Don't worry, kids don't make you feel stupid for not knowing. They will even like you more for having and showing the courage to look stupid, just like them.
I don't know this man but I still feel like I miss him every year a little more.
