It's sad to see our forests burning, although recent rains in state has brought some respite but the loss is huge to overcome with. These fires in Uttarakhand has disturbed ecological balance and pose a major threat to our diverse flora and fauna.
I wish and hope for better and stronger ways to deal which such a disaster, but of course we also need do our part being sensitive and responsible towards nature.
1. As travelers the least we can do is not throw the lit cigarette in the jungle.
2. Don't leave any campfire unattended.
